Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Fill each cupcake liner with batter, about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- Color the buttercream frosting with food coloring and decorate as desired.
