- 200g all-purpose flour
- 100g sugar
- 100g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 100g mixed dried fruit
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture.
- Fold in the dried fruit.
- Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking tray.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be decorated with icing for more festive appeal.
