Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 12 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, sift together cake flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat egg whites until frothy.
  4. Add cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold in flour mixture and extracts.
  6. Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden.
  8. Invert pan to cool before removing the cake.
