Ingredients

- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, sift together cake flour, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat egg whites until frothy.
- Add cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in flour mixture and extracts.
- Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden.
- Invert pan to cool before removing the cake.
Notes
- Use room temperature egg whites for better volume.
- Don’t grease the pan to allow the cake to rise properly.
- Serve with fresh berries or whipped cream.
