Description

Crock Pot Huli Huli Chicken is a flavorful dish inspired by Hawaiian cuisine. It features tender chicken simmered in a sweet and tangy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce over chicken in the crock pot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with forks and mix it with the sauce.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
