Description

Creamy Tuscan sausage pasta that’s better than takeout.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add diced tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  9. Mix in cooked pasta and combine well.
  10. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute sausage with chicken or turkey.
  • Adjust the amount of cream for desired richness.
  • Fresh basil can be added for extra flavor.
