- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth (240 ml)
- 1 cup heavy cream (240 ml)
- 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth to the skillet, scraping up browned bits, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, thyme, and oregano, and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with rice, pasta, or vegetables.
