Ingredients

- 200g almond flour
- 200g powdered sugar
- 150g egg whites
- 50g granulated sugar
- Food coloring (red and green)
- 200g butter
- 250g icing sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
- Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.
- Whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar, whipping until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the dry ingredients.
- Divide the batter and add food coloring.
- Pipe circles onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Let them rest for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Cool completely before filling.
- Make the buttercream by whipping butter, icing sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Fill the macarons with buttercream and sandwich them together.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Allow flavors to meld for a day before serving.
