Description

A sweet and crunchy holiday treat made with crackers, toffee, and chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until combined.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
  6. Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers, spreading evenly.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  9. Allow the chocolate to soften, then spread it evenly.
  10. Top with chopped nuts if desired.
  11. Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
