A sweet and crunchy holiday treat made with crackers, toffee, and chocolate.
Ingredients

- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
- Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until combined.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Allow the chocolate to soften, then spread it evenly.
- Top with chopped nuts if desired.
- Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be made ahead of time for the holidays.
- Experiment with different types of chocolate.
