Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast in it.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add butter, eggs, vanilla, and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Incorporate dried fruits and nuts into the dough.
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased pan.
  8. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Cool before slicing and serving.
