Description

Chili Oil Noodles with Crispy Garlic is a delightful dish that combines bold flavors and satisfying textures, featuring spicy chili oil, savory soy sauce, and crispy garlic.


Ingredients

  • 200 grams of fresh noodles (or dried noodles, such as egg noodles or ramen)
  • 4 tablespoons of chili oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (for frying garlic)
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 2 green scallions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. Prepare the chili oil by heating 4 tablespoons of oil in a small saucepan, adding chili flakes, and letting it sizzle.
  3. Fry the sliced garlic in 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil until golden brown and crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles with chili oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and salt, tossing gently to coat.
  5. Serve the noodles in a bowl, topped with crispy garlic, chopped scallions, and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Fresh noodles are preferred for their chewy texture, but dried noodles can also be used.
