Ingredients

- 1 pound chicken sausage
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion and bell pepper. Sauté until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Slice chicken sausage and add to the skillet. Cook until browned.
- Add orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes, until orzo is tender.
- Stir occasionally and add more broth if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables of your choice.
- You can substitute chicken sausage with turkey sausage.
