Description

A delicious and hearty dish featuring chicken sausage and orzo pasta.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken sausage
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper. Sauté until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Slice chicken sausage and add to the skillet. Cook until browned.
  5. Add orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes, until orzo is tender.
  7. Stir occasionally and add more broth if needed.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
