Description

Delicious cherry blossom cookies that are perfect for spring.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and powdered sugar.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chopped cherries.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool on a wire rack.
