Description

A festive bread shaped like a Christmas tree, filled with gooey cheese and perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Add flour, salt, melted butter, and egg to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes on a floured surface.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut it into triangles.
  7. Layer cheese between the triangles to form a tree shape.
  8. Place the tree on a baking sheet and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy.
