Description

A creamy and cheesy potato dish baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
  7. Add the remaining potatoes and pour the rest of the cream mixture on top.
  8. Top with the remaining cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 45-60 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or herbs.
  • Use different cheeses for variety.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
