A fun and delicious twist on two classic favorites: cheeseburgers and quesadillas, combining juicy flavors with crispy, cheesy goodness.
Ingredients
- Flour Tortillas: Two large flour tortillas
- Ground Beef: One pound of ground beef
- Cheddar Cheese: One cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- Onion: A half medium onion, finely chopped
- Pickles: A quarter cup of chopped pickles
- Mustard: Two tablespoons of mustard
- Ketchup: Two tablespoons of ketchup
- Olive Oil: One tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and Pepper: Season to taste
- Optional Ingredients: Garlic Powder, Paprika, Diced Tomatoes, Jalapeños, Avocado
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté the chopped onion for 2-3 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Prepare any additional vegetables you want to include.
- Lay one tortilla flat, spread half of the beef mixture, sprinkle half of the cheese, add pickles, mustard, and ketchup, then top with the second tortilla.
- Cook the quesadilla in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Let it cool for a minute, slice into wedges, and serve warm with extra mustard and ketchup.
Notes
- Use medium heat for even cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the skillet if making multiple quesadillas.
- Press down gently while cooking for even melting.
- Let it rest before slicing for easier serving.
