Description

Delicious and fun cake pops coated in chocolate.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup frosting
  • 16 oz chocolate coating
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions.
  3. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Let the cake cool completely.
  5. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  6. Add frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until combined.
  7. Form small balls with the mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  9. Melt the chocolate coating in a microwave or double boiler.
  10. Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into a cake ball.
  11. Dip the cake ball into the chocolate coating, then tap off the excess.
  12. Decorate with sprinkles if desired.
  13. Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block to set.
