Description

Cabbage rolls are a hearty dish made of cabbage leaves filled with a savory mixture of meat and rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch the cabbage leaves for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  4. In a bowl, mix ground beef, cooked rice, sautéed onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture on each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
  6. Place the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish.
  7. Pour tomato sauce over the rolls.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
