Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until foamy.
  2. Add flour and salt, mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll into bites.
  7. In a pot, boil water and baking soda. Add pretzel bites for 30 seconds.
  8. Place bites on a baking sheet, brush with egg, and sprinkle with salt.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
