Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the rinsed rice and stir to coat with butter and garlic.
  5. Pour in the water, and add salt and pepper.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork, then stir in chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
  • You can use vegetable broth instead of water for added taste.
