A rich and flavorful rice dish infused with garlic and butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups long-grain rice
- 4 cups water
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the rinsed rice and stir to coat with butter and garlic.
- Pour in the water, and add salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork, then stir in chopped parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
- You can use vegetable broth instead of water for added taste.
