Description

Soft and fluffy bunny-shaped buns perfect for Easter celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup raisins (for eyes)
  • 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Stir until dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide into small balls.
  6. Shape each ball into a bunny and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Insert raisins for eyes.
  8. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Brush buns with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  11. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
  • You can use chocolate chips instead of raisins for eyes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
