Buckeyes are chocolate-covered peanut butter balls that are a popular treat in the United States.
Ingredients

- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix peanut butter, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar gradually and mix until fully combined.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Melt chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Dip each peanut butter ball into the chocolate, leaving the top uncovered.
- Place back on the baking sheet and let set until chocolate hardens.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Use a fork to help dip the balls in chocolate.
- Try adding a pinch of salt for extra flavor.
