Description
Sweet and tender carrots glazed with brown sugar for a delicious side dish.
Ingredients

- 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add sliced carrots and stir to coat.
- Pour in water, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes until carrots are tender.
- Remove lid and cook for an additional 5 minutes to thicken glaze.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- Try adding a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
- These can be made ahead and reheated.
