A rich and creamy side dish made with sweet potatoes and brown butter.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Peel and chop sweet potatoes into chunks.
- Boil sweet potatoes in a large pot until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
- Drain sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add the brown butter, milk, salt, and pepper to the sweet potatoes.
- Mash until smooth and creamy.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon.
- Use a hand mixer for a smoother texture.
