A layered dessert combining sponge cake, pastry cream, and chocolate ganache.
Ingredients

- 1 package of sponge cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups of pastry cream
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the pastry cream and let it cool.
- Melt the chocolate chips with heavy cream over low heat to make ganache.
- Layer sponge cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish.
- Add a layer of pastry cream on top of the sponge cake.
- Add a layer of ganache on top of the pastry cream.
- Repeat the layers until the dish is full.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use store-bought sponge cake for convenience.
- Adjust the sweetness of the pastry cream to your taste.
- Top with whipped cream for extra flavor.
