Description

A delicious and easy-to-make casserole featuring layers of bread, cream cheese, and blueberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread, cubed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish.
  3. Spread half of the bread cubes in the dish.
  4. Dot with cream cheese and sprinkle half of the blueberries.
  5. Add the remaining bread cubes and top with the rest of the blueberries.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and berries.
  8. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes, or overnight in the fridge.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serve warm with syrup.
  • This can be prepared the night before.
  • Use frozen blueberries if fresh are not available.
