Instructions
- Prepare the onion by cutting off the top and peeling it.
- Make deep cuts in the onion to create petals.
- Mix flour and spices in a bowl.
- Dip the onion in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer.
- Fry the onion until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
