Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup black beans, soaked overnight
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the soaked black beans.
  2. In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  4. Add black beans, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add water and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. In a separate pot, cook rice according to package instructions.
