- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 pre-made pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
- Add water and lemon juice; stir until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Place sliced strawberries in the pie crust.
- Pour the cooled mixture over the strawberries.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
