Description

Berry bliss macarons are delicate French cookies with a fruity filling.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g almond flour
  • 200g powdered sugar
  • 150g egg whites
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • 100g berry puree
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a bowl, sift almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat egg whites with granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the almond mixture into the egg whites.
  5. Pipe circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Let the macarons sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool completely.
  9. Prepare berry buttercream by mixing butter, berry puree, vanilla, and sugar.
  10. Sandwich the macarons with the buttercream.

Notes

  • Make sure the egg whites are at room temperature.
  • Use fresh or frozen berries for the puree.
  • Store macarons in an airtight container.
