- 1.5 pounds beef tenderloin
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Sear the beef on all sides until browned.
- Transfer the beef to the oven and roast for 20-25 minutes.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the garlic and mushrooms.
- Add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for 5 minutes.
- Slice the beef and serve with the mushroom sauce on top.
Notes
- Let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- You can use any mushrooms you prefer.
- Adjust seasoning as needed.
