Description

A savory beef tenderloin served with a rich mushroom sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds beef tenderloin
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the beef on all sides until browned.
  5. Transfer the beef to the oven and roast for 20-25 minutes.
  6. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the garlic and mushrooms.
  7. Add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  8. Stir in heavy cream and cook for 5 minutes.
  9. Slice the beef and serve with the mushroom sauce on top.

Notes

  • Let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • You can use any mushrooms you prefer.
