Description

A delightful Apple Cinnamon Roll Bake that combines the classic flavors of cinnamon rolls with juicy apples, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract, then mix well.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon for the filling.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
  6. Distribute the diced apples and nuts over the dough, then roll it into a tight log and slice into 1-inch thick pieces.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  8. Place the sliced rolls in the dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the rolls cool for 5 minutes before drizzling with the cream cheese glaze.
