  • Canned pumpkin puree: 1 cup (240 grams)
  • Brown sugar: 1/2 cup (100 grams), packed
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
  • Ground nutmeg: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter: 1/4 cup (60 grams), cold and cubed
  • Heavy cream: 1/4 cup (60 ml), plus extra for brushing
  • Optional glaze: Powdered sugar – 1 cup (120 grams) and milk – 1-2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients and tools.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and cut it in until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat it into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut into 8 equal triangles.
