Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium sweet potatoes (about 500 grams) – peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup – pure maple syrup for best taste
- 1/2 cup pecans – roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil – for coating
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – adds warmth and depth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt – balances sweetness
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper – adds a subtle kick
Instructions
- Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into 1-inch cubes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Stir until blended.
- Add the sweet potato cubes to the bowl and toss gently to coat.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the coated sweet potato cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- During the last 5 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the chopped pecans over the sweet potatoes.
